Greenwich Village Apartment

Located in the heart of New York City’s Greenwich Village, this pre-war apartment boasts innate charm. Working with some existing finishes, we updated the space to integrate our signature style.

ENTRY

Farrow & Ball’s Studio Green hugs the walls as you enter the apartment. A vintage mirror and slim console create a petit foyer. A vintage pendant is shortened to create a custom semi-flush mount.

KITCHEN & LIVING ROOM

In the living room, a cream sectional is paired with a walnut sleigh chair and marble coffee table to maximize an otherwise tight space. Vintage sconces provide a touch of warmth, while an Allied Maker light sits above a Chris Earl bar cart to create a simple but elegant bar area.

In the kitchen, we worked with the existing cabinetry, stone, and appliances, introducing warmth with Farrow and Ball’s Drop Cloth paint color, as well as the use of bin pulls and egg knobs from ER Butler in a custom pewter finish.

For a dining area, a vintage inspired three-armed chandelier hangs above a custom table. To maximize space, a woven bench is used for additional seating against the island. Velvet chairs from Menu keep the space feeling open and light.

PRIMARY BEDROOM

In the primary, a pair of bookcases and a window seat surround two large picture windows. A vanity is paired with a boucle Little Petra chair. A walnut Mid Century dresser is topped with a piece by Jean Debuffet. A custom Danny Kaplan lamp sits atop one of two vintage nightstands.

SECONDARY BEDROOMS

Outside of the primary, we made use of a small closer as a sweet nursery, featuring a wooden crib from Kalon Studios and a vintage Raoul Dufy textile.

The secondary bedroom doubles as both a home office and guest room, with a reclaimed work table and tambour cabinet, as well as a beautiful mid century dresser and dark accent wall.

PRIMARY BATH

Highlighting the slab shower and stone mosaic flooring, we updated by the existing vanity with handmade leather cabinet pulls and lighting by Allied Maker.

SECONDARY BATHROOM

The primary five piece bath had existing upgrades, though we finished the space with custom lighting from Allied Maker and handmade leather cabinet pulls.

The secondary bath was retiled with glossy subway tile and features a beautiful vinyl wallpaper from Anna Glover.
